7 tips for a stress-free newborn session

Maybe you’ve noticed this but wedding vendors love to give advice.⠀

Bride with wedding bouquet - Wedding advice.

Often times it sounds like this, “Don’t do this, don’t do that, never spend money on that, you should definitely do this, definitely spend your money on this. You should pick a vendor like this and never a vendor like that.”⠀

Wedding details.

Goodness.⠀

And before you roll your eyes at me I love to give advice too. I will give you advice all day long. I am the queen of unsolicited advice. Ask any of my friends.⠀
⠀
But It’s a lot. It’s a lot for me and I’ve been married for almost a decade. Which also makes me sound older than I am…I think.⠀

And last week I really saw a photographer say they wouldn’t photograph a wedding with fake florals. Um, what?

So I’m here to tell you that your wedding doesn’t have to live up to someone else’s standard. You don’t have to spend money that you don’t have. You don’t have to go into debt just to have an amazing wedding.

Shoot half of my wedding budget was spent on the food and I have zero regrets.

It’s YOUR day and that means YOU get to decide how and where YOUR money is spent.⠀⠀

And honestly, your wedding could cost $300,000 or $3,000 and it wouldn’t make a difference to me.

Because the thing that I love more than anything is getting to witness your love. I LOVE getting to experience the joy of your friends and family as they watch you say, “I do”. I love the real moments, the silly moments, the sad moments. All of them.⠀

And the one thing I know more than anything is that everyone deserves wedding vendors that care more about the people than they do their portfolio.
