I know I say this all the time BUT this wedding was definitely one for the books! Sarah and Isaac are such a sweet couple and it was impossible not to get swept up in the excitement of the day. From start to finish the day was gorgeous, relaxed, and filled with so much love for the couple it was nothing short of perfect.
Sarah and Isaac’s wedding was so thoughtfully put together you couldn’t help but be wowed by it. They decided to have the wedding party got ready at the bride’s childhood home which made it extra special. The couple chose to have a rustic yet classy reception at a gorgeous local venue, Meadow Barn and County Orchards.
Bella Rosa Foral did an AMAZING job making all of Sarah’s floral dreams come true. Her wedding bouquet was absolutely stunning and the hairpiece they made for her couldn’t have been more perfect.
One thing I absolutely loved from this day was the Go-Pro video camera they had strapped (with instructions) to a cowboy hat. The wedding party passed the hat around throughout the night capturing candid video along the way. I honestly loved this idea. I still think it’s brilliant and is hands down one of the most creative ways I’ve ever seen a wedding documented!
One of my favorite parts of the day was the wheel barrel races. Sarah’s dad grew up in a small midwestern town that had those quirky wedding day traditions that could only be found there. The story goes on a couples wedding day the groom would push his new bride down the main street in a wheel barrel. There may have been cowbell involved but I honestly can’t remember (if someone knows the answer please leave a comment)!
For Sarah and Isaac’s wedding, her mom wanted to surprise them with her very own version of this small town tradition!
For this, she planned a wheel barrel race! We had all noticed the wheel barrels lined up on the far side of the property when we arrived. All that was said about it was that the bride’s mother had something up her sleeve. But nobody really knew what was going on until it was time to race. She had all of the bridesmaids and bride get a martini glass full of water. Once the girls had water they climbed into their wheel barrels the race was on! The groomsmen including the groom had to push the girls all the way down to the crowd and back to the start line! The girls had to try and make sure their martini glasses didn’t spill. The first person to cross the finish line was the winner!
