I just realized it’s been a REALLY long time since I’ve actually shared a family session! Even though I have a list a mile long of fabulous sessions that definitely need to be blogged I thought I would start with Hailey and Zach.
First of all, this session was a BLAST! They were such an easy going bunch and didn’t hesitate when I messaged them shortly before the session suggesting we spend some time splashing about the creek at the Arboretum.
If you’ve worked with me before you know that the Arboretum is one of my favorite places to go (especially for family sessions) and I almost ALWAYS suggest it simply because of all of the possibilities and options it presents us.
The creek is hands down my favorite part though. Shallow enough to wade around and have some fun. It’s perfect for families with siblings. Especially if the siblings don’t always get along. I’ve found that taking kids to a place where they can do some sort of activity really really helps. They tend to forget they are even being photographed and just have fun together. It’s a win for everyone!
I always ask my clients if there are any more images they think we might have missed or something they would really like to have. So when they responded that they were actually engaged and hoping to get some good save the date images I was so EXCITED! We ended up doing a super-mini engagement session and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how everything turned out.
So if you want to see more from this session simply scroll through the images below!
As a mom and a business owner, I understand the power of a moment, the story behind a smile. Photography for me is a bridge – connecting hearts, capturing the unspoken. It’s about creating an experience that’s as enjoyable as the final product. Your ideas, your story, your essence – I’m here to bring them to life through my lens.
