I want this process to be as simple as possible for you! Because of that, I have come up with a list of frequently asked questions to help you with your decision making. Why hire a professional?

Hiring a professional is an investment that you’ll continue to see a return on year after year. Long after your kids are grown, you’ll look back at the photos on your wall, in those memory books scattered about your house, you’ll cherish those memories, those moments, those emotions that only a true artist can capture. You hire a professional because of their artistry and technical skill because of their ability to capture the emotion or moment at just the right time. Someone that can handle quick changes and stressful situations. You want to know that the person you hired to photograph your wedding day or your child’s first birthday isn’t going to miss that special moment because of their lack of experience and skill. You hire a professional because you want images that can be passed down for generations, images your kids will cherish, and their children will treasure.

What do you offer?

I specialize in weddings and engagements, couples, families, as well as newborn photography and take a limited number of high school senior sessions each year (it’s just not listed on my website). I am based out of Sioux Falls, SD and if you are interested in additional package and session details, please fill out my contact form and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Do you have a studio?

I am so happy to say YES! Yes, I do! The studio space is super new and definitely a work in progress. However, it is gorgeous and I am so excited about the possibilities that come along with it. What do I wear?

This question is one almost everyone asks, so here is my answer: I want you to be comfortable. I want you to feel comfortable, beautiful, and ready to have some fun. I don’t want you to feel like you are dressing up as someone else. Wear the clothes you love. However, if you’d like a little extra advice here are some of my basic do’s and do not’s on what to wear and you can also check out this blog post on the topic.

Do

-Mix and match colors. You don’t all have to wear the same thing!
-Accessorize! Find stuff that makes you feel glamorous and excited for the shoot, hats, boots, scarves, necklaces, etc. Have fun with it!
-Dress weather appropriate.

Don’t

-All wear the same color. You’ll blend right in with each other. Instead, wear colors that compliment each other and highlight your personalities.
-Wear anything with large distracting logos or images promoting something.
-Have large distracting objects in your pockets such as your wallet, cell phone, keys, etc.

What is included in the price?

I have an all-inclusive pricing system, which means you get all of your digital files delivered to you and available for download via an online gallery. You’ll have access to this gallery for up to 10 years and also receive a print release. Do you include a second shooter with your wedding packages?

This is not something I currently offer. By not having a staff of people to be in charge of I promise I am better able to focus on YOU. This isn’t the case for everyone though. It’s really just a preference.

I should probably just write a blog post on this BUT trust your photographer. Whether it be me or someone else you have to trust their process. I promise you I want your wedding day to be a dream come true and I find that I can best serve you by keeping the experience as intimate as possible.

Do you have a referral program?

Yes! I LOVE to thank my past clients for being loyal and also sharing my work with their friends and family! However, there are a few rules and stipulations to this program.

– You may refer as many people as you like!
– The person being referred cannot have been a previous client.
– The person being referred MUST mention your name at the time of booking.
– Referral discounts may only be claimed by one person.
– The person being referred must have completed their session before you receive your referral discount.
– You may choose to stack discounts on family sessions, use towards sessions individually, or you may use up to 5% towards a wedding or event.

Do you travel?

Absolutely! However, session prices and wedding packages only include locations within 30 miles of Sioux Falls, SD. Anything outside of this area is subject to an additional travel fee. Please contact me if you have any further questions about travel costs.

When can I expect my stuff?

Family, children, and engagement sessions will be delivered within 1-2 weeks. You can expect to receive your newborn session within 3-4 weeks. You can look forward to receiving your wedding photos within 8-10 weeks.

How will I receive my images?

You will receive an allotted number of digital files via digital download through CloudSpot. CloudSpot will archive the files for you. However, I recommend downloading and even saving to another device to help ensure safe keeping. You will also receive a discount code through CloudSpot to purchase a high-quality professional print that will last for generations and may purchase more if you like. If you already have a favorite printer feel free to download the images and print through them!

What if I need to reschedule?

There is a non-refundable retainer due to hold your session time and date. However, if something comes up such as an emergency, illness (seriously I don’t want to photograph you while you are sick), whatever it is you will have the option to schedule your session a different day. If you choose to cancel entirely you will forfeit your retainer.

If the weather is inclement I will contact you and we will proceed from there. I promise I’m not going to make the rescheduling process a difficult one and that I am more than willing to make accommodations when necessary.
